It's breakfast! Who cares if we have to eat that much? Eating the korean style is just topnotching my life list! :) We have here Japchae, Nori wrappers, crispy anchovies with peanuts, chicken nuggets, 3 kinds of kimchi and korean rice!
Hello Nam Dae Mun Market, how will you serve our hungry bellies today? :)
And just because I said Fulpangs (rice cakes) are love doesn't mean I have to eat them all day!!! Mr. Moon made us eat every Fulpangs we see on the streets. And man, he was right, different techniques and different styles of cooking. He didn't just buy us Fulpangs, he made us taste their different rice cakes too. All were really YUM!
Here's a fave of mine but i actually don't know what it's called. Mr. Moon and Mr. Kang actually brought us to this infamous noodle shop where the infamous Korean superstars dine! See those frames! Yeah! *smudge*
Anyway, the noodles (above) were served as an appetizer. I'm not sure but let me try. It's a sweet cold noodle dish, I'm guessing it's a sweet potato noodle topped with cucumbers, boiled eggs and sesame seeds. It's really good, I promise you. I'm not a big fan of eating cold dishes for I like them striking hot but this one definitely changed my mind!
And the star of the show! Maybe I should call this food encounter "The Yin and Yang" because the main course was brought to us hot in action. Mind you, it really complements and contrasts the appetizer with it's thick noodles, big scallops and nori and oh man! I wish I could tell you the ingredients but I'm clueless as a kiddo! The only fact that I can remember is that it was equally yummy as the first dish!
Before heading to the Folk Village, I saw those tiny cooked crickets that made me say, "never will I get my hands on those." Unfortunately, Mr. Moon saw my horrible face and bought a cup for us to taste. I told him to eat it first before I do and of course, he did in a snap. I even called my 2 brothers to taste it before I eat one bite and they did so since I have no choice, I took a bite. It's not that bad, I mean, it doesn't even taste bad. It tastes like fish, more like a fresh daing. My brother even said it's better partnered with spicy vinegar and sinangag. Yes! I agree, it really does.
Here's a picture of my sister enjoying(?) a bite! Hahaha!
