Chocolate Chip Cookies

Joy of Baking's version of chocolate chip cookies taste like the world's fave choco chip cookies: Chips Ahoy! I've been baking this for a while now but it's mu first time to make soft and chunky cookies. What made me wanna try is still because of Chips Ahoy! So there, since I trust no other than Joy of Baking when it comes to dessert apart from Yummy books, I gave it a try to bake the cookies for 5-8 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Cool completely on a wire rack and let the cookies cook on its own.

Chocolate chips cookies are made with a a cup of unsalted creamed butter mixed with 2 kinds of sugars (brown and white, about 3/4 cup each). After which, you add 2 eggs, one at a time. Mixing until incorporated. Then you add a teaspoon and a half of vanilla. You can taste if you like, tastes like icing! Yummy butter icing! After that, you will then stir the flour mixture in 2 batches. Mixture is made of 2 1/4 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Do not over mix. Always be careful with mixing once the flour is added. Stir a cup and a half of chocolate chips and a cup of roasted walnuts. I always roast walnuts whenever a recipe calls for them. Roasting walnuts brings out its robust flavor.

Bake about 10-14 minutes in a 190 degrees C with the rack in center of the oven for 8-10 minutes or if you want soft cookies, take it out from the oven once the edges are golden brown.

Partner it with a glass of warm milk and get ready for a trip down memory lane.

Recipe is from Joy of Baking.
