How sad right? It was actually my first time last night to eat at S.EX. Though known during my college years, hey! I lived most of my life in the busy streets of Espana and not Taft so there...or maybe the catholic mayhem didn't allow the establishment to spread it's unholy name anywhere near UST grounds! Haha! Just kidding!
Boyfriend ordered their super famous tapsilog (tapa, sinangag & itlog) and I, for the sake of variety, ordered adsilog (adobo flakes, sinangag & itlog). Prices range from Php65 to Php99. Quite affordable right?
The adobo flakes were okay, tolerable. Not that good but doesn't suck either. It was, again, okay. Their tapa flakes though deserve the crown! It was really yummy! And it has litid! Hahaha! I'm not usually a fan of tapsilogs because my mom can make better tapas than Tapa King but this one from S.EX really surprised me. It has the right amount of flavor...I'm sorry, I just couldn't break it all down. All I know is it has a hint of sweetness. But it was delish! Awesome for a price of Php65! It goes well with their vinegar because it takes the dish to another level.
And because not everyone's perfect, their rice, I can tell, is a low-class kind. You can tell by its taste, smell, texture and how it sets.
Oh! Their special iced tea is to die for. I don't know but it tastes like there's mango purée somewhere there? I don't know but it's amazing! Hahaha!
And you should know what made me really like Sinangag Express, they have CHILI OIL!!! :) AWESOMESAUCE!!!!
