Will I write for food?

I massacred google by typing Food Photography. It didn't only lead me to food styling and photography but to food and recipe writing as well. I was always asked recently, "Are you a food blogger?" or sometimes, people are more abrupt in saying "So you're the food blogger-slash-food stylist-slash-food photographer" Ah! The good words in life that could lead me to my earliest deathbed out of pure bliss.

Honestly, I don't think I can really boast about food blogging. I started this blog with the intent to note down recipes I've tried and tested and mostly revised. Some reviews we're out of eat-out disappointments while some were the ones that bring me to Italy (Why! Its my fave city though I haven't been there) and those were the best kinds really.

I know. I saw. I read. I know by heart that my sentence construction can sleep next to the Fifty Shades Trilogy author. The problem is, I used to study communication arts which means I don't really have an excuse for my poor grammar and sentence construction. The good thing though is, I've been trying. Also, The boyfriend supports my blog via buying me food literature books (i.e. Lunch in Paris & It must have been something I ate). He also checks my blogs and yes, by all means, review everything as if I emailed my senior copywriter a copy sheet while she looks at me, smirking, thinking "AHA! The poor intern!"

Also, I've read in a blog that there are 3 different kinds of food bloggers:
1. The professional food writers
2. Wannabee chefs
and 3. Those who like to eat and check out new places to eat

I'd like to believe that I belong to number 2 because Culinary has been my biggest what-if but recently, the fire in me burns for #3 so I'm confused as hell too. One thing's certain though, I ain't a pro but I've been dying to be one. I want to be a writer who can bring readers eat the books they're reading just because I wrote gastronomic sentences and scrumptious food experiences.

So I wrote this down to warn you that posts here are written by an amateur wannabee in the food industry. And I'm striving to be better which reminds me to clean my blog labels and pages. I'd like to create a page for my food photos because I'm an enthusiast in food photography department as well. I'd also like to sweep clean my random food rah rahs because I cannot really claim them to be food reviews until I become an expert in making you drool and fly all over the country via reading a book while sipping a cup of coffee with your untouched vanilla glazed cinnamon rolls because you were too busy devouring the whole book.

I am also planning to study recipe writing so that I won't get you guys lost with my merry-go-round recipe instructions.

Wait for me and be patient with me. I will learn for you.

Love,
dmargherita
